gluckqНе успел я написать про зависть, как уже получил официальное подтверждение своих идей с самого верха -- от Блумберга. Приведу несколько цитат.

Т.е. прямым текстом пишут что экономического смысла тут нет. Но зато есть некий эмоциональный. Поэтому исследователи похерили традиционный вопрос, как это скажется на экономике. А вместо этого "they focused on a more emotional one: Do Americans feel happier – and experience a greater sense of fairness – under more progressive taxation?" И выяснили, что если богатеев грабить больше, чем всех прочих, то бедные делаются счастливее. Однако богатеи при этом отнюдь не расстаиваются. Win-win! А вот это ващще шедевр:
The results do suggest progressive taxes may encourage a sense that the world is more fair. [Прогрессивное налогообложение создаёт впечатление справедливости в мире.]
Ну и напоследок совет кандидатам в президенты рекламировать главный результат: облегчим страдания народных масс от осознания того факта, что кто-то где-то зарабатывает больше!
